2° qualification route (Ph. Valter Ghisolfi)
Every competition is unique, and there is something to learn every time. After many world cup I thought I had experience, so I was more relaxed on the qualification routes. Maybe I was too much relaxed, because I risked to arrive late on the first route (due to the distance between isolation and the wall). I arrived when the climber before me was climbing, I had to put on my number, the harness, the shoes, the chalkbag in very hurry and I started a bit stressed on the first route. Luckily, I gained experience in these past month and before the start I was able to calm myself, I learned it from rockclimbing, especially from Biographie.
Semifinal (Ph. Luka Fonda)
One point of advantage in this competition were the holds: many of them and of the volumes were HRT, so I knew a big part of the holds because they were the same we set up in our BOX in Torino. Knowing the holds in a competition can be crucial, and this time I can say it could have make the difference.
Final (Ph. www.thecircuitclimbing.com)
I reached the final in 6th place and I climbed quite well the final route, but I did a mistake and my foot slipped and I ended at 7th place. I’m happy to have reached the final, I was more confident than the past few years, I’m just a bit disappointed for the mistake. Next challenge will be in Briancon, in less than a week!
